An inmate that escaped from the federal prison complex in Beaumont will serve an
additional two years in prison. 36-year old Clemente Valdez Jr. of Dallas, who is serving
17 years for drug trafficking and money laundering, escaped from the prison with other
inmates this past January. They left in a pickup that was waiting for them on Hillebrandt Road.
They were all recaptured following a traffic stop.
