Port Arthur police have a man in custody for a burglary. Just past 9:30 this morning, two men,
one armed with a gun, forced their way into an apartment in the 900 block of Main Avenue.
One suspect was detained by an occupant of the apartment until police arrived. He has been
identified as 36-year old Clarence Babineaux, of Port Arthur. Babineaux was transported to
the Jefferson County Correctional Facility. The search for the second suspect continues.
