The DPS reports a motorcyclist injured in multiple crashes that occurred on I-10 yesterday
afternoon, near Taylor’s Bayou in Jefferson County, has died from his injuries. 37-year old
Casey James Jones, of Vidor, was airlifted to a Galveston hospital where he died. The first
wreck involved four vehicles. Jones was involved in a second wreck when his motorcycle
struck the back of a pickup. A third wreck occurred when an emergency vehicle responding to
the scene struck the outside mirror of a stopped vehicle. The wreck had I-10 shutdown for more
than two hours.
