A Beaumont man, that pleaded guilty to being a felon in possession of a firearm, has been
sentenced to more than eight years in federal prison. 28-year old Raymond Earl Robinson was
arrested in February of 2018. He was a passenger in a vehicle that was pulled over in
Beaumont. Robinson, a felon, was in possession of a loaded handgun. Several drugs were also
found in the vehicle. Robinson was sentenced to 97 months yesterday by U.S. District Judge
Thad Heartfield.
