Man Accused Of 1988 Murder Sentenced On Unrelated Charges

A man recently arrested for a cold case murder is on his way to prison on unrelated charges.

60-year old Daniel Andrew MacGinnis was arrested last month for the 1988 murder of

36-year old Patricia Jacobs. Her body was found in the Neches River in Port Arthur. DNA

testingled to the arrest of MacGinnis. MacGinnis appeared in a Tyler County courtroom

yesterday and was sentenced to life in prison and 99 years in prison for possessing drugs and a

firearm. Those charges date back to September 2017.
