A Jefferson County jury has convicted Calvin Walker for sending fraudulent invoices to
the Beaumont Independent School District. The Beaumont electrician was a contract worker
for the school district and billed the district for more than $1 million. Walker faces up to life
in prison. The punishment phase of the trial is next.
