In Newton County, investigators are investigating the death of Randy Holmes as a possible
homicide. His remains were found the past Thursday. Holmes was reported missing in
November of 2017. The remains have been sent to North Texas for a positive identification
and to try and determine the cause of death. Foul play is suspected.
