Campaign Against Wild Hogs

A three-day campaign against wild hogs is in progress in Chambers County. The program started Wednesday night and will continue through Friday morning in the area of Double Bayou Park. The public health and safety effort by county officials and Texas A&M was prompted by the death of a 59-year-old woman last month after a pack of wild hogs attacked her in Anahuac. The Chambers County sheriff's office told residents not to be alarmed by gunshots, loud noises and bright lights during the operation.
