An aggravated assault trial in Beaumont has ended in a mistrial. 39-year old Robert James
Rodriguez was on trial for the August 2018 stabbing of 38-year old Edgar Campos at the
Motel 6 on I-10 in Beaumont. Campos suffered multiple stab wounds in the attack. The
jury deliberated late into yesterday afternoon and could not reach a verdict. A new trial date
of March 9th has been set.
