Teenage Petition Asks For Super Bowl To Be Moved To Saturday

A lot of people take a sick day or vacation day on the Monday after the Super Bowl, or otherwise they suck it up and drag themselves through the work or school day if they indulged too much or stayed up too late on Super Sunday. But one New York 16-year-old doesn't think it has to be that way, and has created a petition to have the Super Bowl changed to a Saturday. High school junior Frankie Ruggeri's Change.org petition calls for next year's Super Bowl to be on a Saturday, and as of early this morning, it had nearly 14,000 signatures. He argues that more people will watch the game, the NFL will get even more money, and more people would travel to the game if it were on a Saturday. But CNN said the NFL has said in the past that viewership is higher on Sunday evenings. (CNN)
