The DPS reports an 18-year old Woodville male was killed in multi vehicle wreck in Orange
County this morning. The teen was traveling west on FM 1006, about a mile east of Highway
87 when he lost control and crossed into the westbound lane and was struck by an oncoming
pickup. The teen was pronounced dead at the scene. His name has not been released. The
driver of the pickup, 47-year old Dane Yates of Port Arthur, is hospitalized in serious condition.
FM 1006 at that location remains closed.
