In an effort to lure an expansion project, Orange County commissioners are offering a tax
abatement to Chevron Philips for a $6 billion project to be located at its facility on chemical
row. It is a 10-year, 100% abatement. This is a delayed start meaning Chevron Phillips the
tax breaks would begin in 2024. Chevron Phillips is expected to make a decision on the location
of its expansion by the end of the year.
