Abbott Shuts Down State Parks

(Austin, TX) -- Texas state parks and historic sites are being closed due to the threat of coronavirus. Governor Greg Abbott announced today the temporary closures are needed to stop the spread of the virus and keep large groups from gathering together. The governor also encouraged Texans to stay home and practice social distancing. It will be up to Abbott to decide when the parks and historic sites will re-open.
