Gas prices continue to drop. The average price this morning in the Beaumont/Port Arthur area
is $1.68 a gallon, which is down six cents from last week. A year ago we were paying $2.46 a
gallon. The statewide average dropped eight cents to $1.61 a gallon. This morning’s national
average is $1.88, which is down seven cents.The averages are from Triple A Texas.
