Starting today, any casino in Louisiana that wishes to re-open must submit a safety plan to state
officials for approval. The Louisiana Gaming Control Board has set out a series of guidelines
that must be in place before a casino can resume operating. Among the new rules is a reduction
in the number of games, strict sanitizing measures, and a limit on patrons to only 25-percent of
regular capacity. Several casinos have already released their plans for re-opening, including
in Lake Charles at the Golden Nugget, L’Auberge, and Isle of Capri.
