Two are jailed following a pursuit yesterday morning that started in Louisiana and ended in
Beaumont. Sulphur police pulled over a pickup pulling a trailer. While talking to the driver,
Sherees Franklin of Lamarque, she attempted to flee on foot and was quickly arrested. A
passenger in the vehicle, Rowdy Runte of Sulphur, sped off in the vehicle. The chase
continued into Texas on I-10 west and ended in Beaumont near Rusk Street. The pickup and
trailer were both stolen as were several items on the trailer.
