Federal investigators say a fatal plane crash near Anahuac last year may have been caused when
the pilot panicked. During a National Transportation Safety Board hearing on Tuesday,
investigators said First Officer Conrad Aska apparently flipped the "go-around switch" by
accident during the approach to Bush Intercontinental Airport. The error may have caused him
to overreact, resulting in the crash in Trinity Bay that killed Aska and two captains for Atlas Air.
Investigators say Aska had a history of reacting poorly to stressful situations in flight simulators.
