Abbott Extending Early Voting

Gov. Greg Abbott is extending the early voting period for the November election by six days. Abbott announced on Monday that the change is in response to the coronavirus pandemic. Early in-person voting will start on Tuesday, October 13th, instead of Monday, October 19th. Early voting will continue through Friday, October 30th. The extension also applies to mail-in ballots. The governor had said in May that he planned to extend the early voting period for the general election, as he did for the primary runoff this month.
