Tropical Depression Heading Towards Texas

A tropical depression in the northwestern Caribbean could reach hurricane strength by Saturday. Its current path has it heading toward the Texas and Louisiana coast, which it is expected to reach Tuesday afternoon or evening. The storm is called Tropical Depression 14 for now. The National Hurricane Center in Miami says it may be at hurricane strength when it reaches the Yucatan Peninsula in Mexico late Saturday. That should weaken it to a tropical storm.
