(Austin, TX) -- Governor Greg Abbott declares a state of emergency ahead of the arrival of Tropical Storms Marco and Laura. The Governor made the announcement yesterday. Twenty two of the counties are in the National Weather Service's coastal surge region. Bexar [[ bear ]] County is also included on the Governor's list to free up funds for emergency staging, equipment and shelters. Abbott says he is asking for President Trump to declare a federal emergency for the same counties as well.
