As of 6:30 Monday evening, Jefferson County Judge Jeff Branick had ordered a mandatory
for all residents in the unincorporated areas south of Highway 73 between Taylor’s Bayou and
the Chambers County line. The mandatory evacuation also include residents that live within
500 yards of Taylor or Hildebrandy Bayous, and the Central Gardens area of Nederland. The
mandatory evacuation is effective 5:30 Tuesday morning. Following a 10:30 meeting tonight,
this could be extended to a county wide evacuation .
