There is one unconfirmed death in Texas that resulted from Hurricane Laura. Governor Greg
Abbott says the report is from Sabine County in East Texas, but he didn't release details. He
believes it's a miracle no more deaths were reported after Laura made landfall as a Category
Four hurricane. At least six deaths are reported in Louisiana. Abbott traveled to southeast
Texas on yesterday to survey damage from the storm, accompanied by Senator John Cornyn and
Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick.
