A road rage incident at an ATV park in Newton County led to a shooting Saturday afternoon. Newton
County Sheriff Billy Rowles says a driver of an ATV passed another ATV in an unsafe manner at the
Sabine ATV Park in Burkeville. During an altercation between the parties, a man was shot. He was
airlifted to Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont. He was in stable condition. The shooter
was transported to a nearby hospital by private vehicle. The investigation continues.
