National Register To Vote Day

People across the country are registering to vote today. That's because today is National Voter Registration Day. The National Association of Secretaries of State first established the day in 2012, and it is now celebrated on the fourth Tuesday of September. Since its creation, almost three million people have registered to vote on the holiday. Between the 2018 and 2019 holiday, one-point-three-million people registered. The non-partisan day is meant to encourage people to participate in democracy.
