The DPS is investigating an auto/pedestrian fatality that occurred in Jefferson County last night.
The pedestrian, 39-year old Richard Touchton from Florida, was walking on the interstate, near
mile marker 839, when he was hit by an eastbound vehicle. Touchton was pronounced dead at
the scene. The driver of the vehicle, a 34-year old Vidor man, was not hurt.
