The evacuation area in Mauriceville, following last week’s train derailment, has been lifted. The
area from FM 1130 to Old Highway 62 will remain shut down for thru traffic as cleanup
continues. The two ethylene oxide cars, which were not compromised, have been transported
away from the area. Classes at Mauriceville Middle School and Mauriceville Elementary School
will resume as normal today.
