The Jefferson County grand jury has indicted a Port Arthur man for intoxication manslaughter
causing the death of a police officer and intoxication assault of a police officer. 18-year old
Luis Torres is charged with the August 9th wreck that claimed the life of Beaumont police officer
Sheena Yarbrough-Powell and seriously injuring officer Gabriel Fells. The wreck occurred on
Cardinal Drive in Beaumont in which Torres was driving the wrong way on the freeway.
