Preliminary Autopsy From Officer Involved Shooting

The preliminary autopsy has been released on a man that was shot and killed by a Nederland

police officer last week. The report shows 29-year old Daron Jones died from five gunshot

wounds. Jones allegedly showed a weapon while he was involved in a foot chase with the

officer. The incident started earlier during a domestic disturbance in Port Neches in which

a shot was reportedly fired inside a home. Jones also had blunt force trauma, which is

believed to have been caused when he hit his head falling to the ground after he was shot.

The toxicology report on Jones is pending
