The DPS is investigating an auto/pedestrian fatality. A man was struck and killed by a vehicle
late yesterday afternoon on I-10 east near the Jefferson/Chambers County line. The victim
jumped the concrete barrier in an attempt to cross the interstate when he was struck. He
was pronounced dead at the scene. Troopers are working to identify him. The driver of the
car was not injured.
