The Texas Department of State Health Service’s dashboard reports Region R, which includes
several Southeast Texas counties, had an ICU COVID hospital bed usage at 17.8% yesterday,
which was above the 15%usage for the second day in a row. A threshold of more that 15% for
seven consecutive days would call for a rollback of business capacities from 75% to 50%. Tyler
County, which is in Region H, surpassed the seven day threshold and is under a rollback.
