A man is dead following a home invasion robbery in Port Arthur. Police report three armed
men forced their way into a home in the 2500 block of 18th Street as a woman was arriving
home. A man inside the home confronted the robbers with a rifle to protect his young children.
One of the robbers, a 28-year old Port Arthur man, was shot and killed. The investigation
continues. The other two suspects fled the scene before police arrived.
