After dipping under 15% threshold of ICU COVID hospital bed usage on Christmas day, Region
R, which includes Jefferson, Orange, Hardin, Jasper, Newton, and five other counties, the area
has been over 15% for three consecutive days. Yesterday’s bed usage was at 19.97%. The region
must go seven consecutive days under 15% before bars can reopen and businesses can expand
back to 75% capacity.
