The Jefferson County grand jury has indicted a Beaumont man for murder. 32-year old Jirou
Zachere Jr. is charged with the July 11th, 2020 shooting death of 35-year old Clifford Jones,
of Beaumont. The homicide occurred at the Jefferson House Apartments in the 4100 block of
Delaware Street.
A Houston man has been indicted for aggravated robbery by the Jefferson County grand jury for
shooting a man twice during a Beaumont robbery. 51-year old James Tucker is accused of the
crime that occurred the past November in the parking lot of the China Star restaurant. The
investigation led detectives to Crowley, Louisiana where Tucker was arrested the following day.
