Bill Introduced To Increase Teacher Minimum Salary

A Texas lawmaker is introducing a bill that would make the minimum salary for teachers 70-thousand dollars. State representative James Talarico says educators have been tested like never before during the past year, and they have done more than their part. The bill would also adjust for inflation and increase over time. He said "no teacher should have to work two jobs to keep the lights on" and also "our teachers deserve nothing less."
