Murder charges have been added against a Beaumont man already charged with tampering with
evidence. 35-year old Jonathan Paul Menard is charged in the death of 33-year old Kayla Nicole
Rice. Her body was found in Vinton on February 11th. She was 24 weeks pregnant at the time of
her death. Menard, who was living with Rice in Beaumont, is being held on a $1 million bond
for the murder charge.
