Galveston's top doctor says people who have been vaccinated should receive preferential
treatment in boarding the Bolivar Ferry. Dr. Philip Keiser with the Galveston County Health
District says he'd like for the county to arrange with the ferry to allow people who have been
vaccinated to get on board the ferry first. The Texas Department of Transportation operates the
ferry. Keiser says the idea would incentivize people to get vaccinated. He says people would
become more motivated as the ferry becomes busier in the spring and summer.
