Beaumont police have released the name of a woman that was killed in a wreck yesterday
afternoon, 51-year old Alieda Tovias Rios was a passenger in a pickup that was struck by
a vehicle that went through a red light on the I-10 service road at 11th Street. She was
pronounced dead at the scene. Police report the 16-year old driver of the vehicle that went
through the red light was traveling at a high rate of speed. Two other vehicles were involved in
the wreck. No other life threatening injuries were reported.
