The Orange County Sheriff’s Office is working with the Little Cypress-Mauriceville School
District after a “kill" list was found by maintenance workers on Highway 62 near the
Mauriceville Elementary School. The list contained the names of four elementary students.
Parents of the students on the list have been notified. The student who allegedly wrote the note
has been identified. The school district is taking the threat seriously and the district’s student
code of conduct will be followed.
