The search continues for an Orange County inmate that escaped from a transport van
yesterday afternoon. 29-year old Drew Davis Paul was being transported back to Orange
from a Beaumont hospital after he faked a seizure. The deputy driving the van pulled over
at the Gateway Travel Plaza in Rose City when Paul was climbing out of the window of the
moving van. Paul was able to break free and run into a wooded area. He is handcuffed and
wearing leg shackles. The search will resume this morning after being called of late yesterday
due to the weather.
