A Port Arthur man has been sentenced to 10 years in prison for robbery. 31-year old
Derodziya Mitchell was sentenced for the January 2019 robbery of a woman at a Groves
apartment complex. Mitchell struck the victim several times with a weapon. Mitchell’s
girlfriend is took part in the robbery and attack. Mitchell, who was out on parole for a
burglary conviction at the time of the robbery, pleaded guilty and was sentenced yesterday.
