The Jefferson County grand jury has indicted a Beaumont man for felony escape, evading, and
unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. On January 22nd, 39-year old Robert Orlando Lake was
able to break free from the Jefferson County Correctional Facility. He ran to a nearby car and
drove offin the stolen vehicle. Following a pursuit, Lake was arrested in the area of Delaware
and Gulf in Beaumont. He was jailed on firearm possession charge when he fled from the jail.
