A man is jailed facing multiple charges. Beaumont police were called to the 1400 block of
Washington last night about a man with a gun. Police located the suspect and he threw the gun
then began fighting officers. It was learned he was a convicted felon, whichprohibits him from
possessing a fire arm. The suspect taken the hospital for treatment, then transported to the
Jefferson County Correctional Facility. An officer suffered an ankle injury during the incident.
