Detectives with the Port Arthur Police Department are asking for the public’s help in a murder
investigation. 54-year old Lonnie Scott was shot and killed inside a residence in the 2200 block
of 17th Street on Tuesday, August 10th. Witnesses saw a person running from the house. Police
are asking residents in the area to check surveillance cameras outside their homes. Anyone with
any information can contact the Port Arthur Police Department or Crime Stoppers of Southeast
Texas.
