Democrats Return

(Austin, TX) -- The Texas House is back in business. Three Democrats returned to the Capitol yesterday, securing a two-thirds quorum in the chamber for the first time in almost six weeks. The House is now able to vote on the items laid out by Governor Abbott for the special session, including the GOP-backed election reform bill. Dozens of Texas Democrats remain in Washington, DC to urge Congress to pass federal voting legislation.
