A Beaumont police Sergeant has been arrested in Hardin County for domestic violence. 56-year
old Barry Craig Scarborough, of Lumberton, has been indicted for injury of a child and assault
family violence. Sgt. Scarborough, whose been with the Beaumont Police Department for more
than 20 years, was not on duty at the time of the alleged offense. He was released from jail after
posting bonds totaling $20,000,
