The DPS is investigating an auto/pedestrian fatality. A man was walking alongside Highway
63, west of Jasper, yesterday afternoon when he was struck. The victim was pronounced dead
at the scene. The driver of the pickup that struck him, a Louisiana man, was not hurt. The
name of the victim has not been released pending notification of next of kin,
