A man is jailed charged with aggravated assault. Beaumont police say the suspect pulled two
knives and assaulted a clerk last night at the More 4 Less store in the 1400 block of Washington
Blvd. When police arrived, the suspect refused to drop the knives and was taken into custody
following a brief standoff. The clerk was treated at the scene for a small cut he received during
the assault.
