The new Texas Congressional District map is being released. According to the draft map,
Congressman Randy Weber’s14th Congressional District would include most of Jefferson
County, most of Brazoria County, and all of Orange and Galveston Counties. Congressman
Brian Babin’s 36th congressional district would include a small section of Jefferson County, part
of Harris County and all of Hardin, Jasper, Liberty, Newton, and Chambers counties. The state
legislature will have to approve the map.
