One man is dead following a robbery in Port Arthur. Two men, armed with handguns, were
robbing the Church’s Chicken in the 1800 block of Jefferson Friday night when an armed
citizen started firing shots at the robbers. Both suspects were struck. One died at the hospital.
The shooter, who remained at the scene, was interviewed and released. The investigation
is ongoing.
