A man wanted for aggravated assault after shooting his girlfriend several times in dead from
a self-inflicted gunshot wound. 45-year old James Ward, of Port Arthur, was found dead in a
vehicle in the 1700 block of Houston Avenue in Port Arthur. The victim, who was shot on
October 30th and then dropped off at the hospital. She has since been released. Evidence inside
Ward’s vehicle linked him with the shooting.
